The LVHS High Plains Team will be conducting ski clinics for the community this Saturday, January 26 at Beaver Creek. Take a lesson, or if you are new to the trails at Beaver Creek and have always wanted to see what they are like—come for a guided tour!

You are invited to come and improve your skate stride, classic glide or try out skis for the first time. This clinic is suitable for all ages and abilities in either classic or skate techniques.

January 26 — 10:00 a.m. – Noon @ Beaver Creek, a half hour drive from Lander. Plan to arrive at the parking lot around 9:30 to allow time to walk to the trails and sign in. Be prepared for windy, winter conditions. Dress in warm, synthetic layers (no cotton). Use sunscreen if it’s sunny!
(Registration at the kiosk begins at 9:45. From the parking lot, walk under bridge, along fence, and up short hill. The kiosk is just down the lefthand trail.)

Cost: Donations will be accepted to help skiers attend the USSA Cross Country Junior National Championships in Fairbanks, AK this March.

Inquiries? email: aaustin@wyoming.com

Ski rentals available at Gannett Peak Sports. Plan to rent before Saturday.

These skiers train all year long in hopes for qualifying for the High Plains District team and a chance to compete on a national level. Show them your support and learn some new skills.
